Deli Assistant - Part time

LONDIS Mervue is looking for a part-time Deli Assistant to join their amazing team.

Tasks include maintenance of fresh food, excellent customer service, having a clean working environment, being able to serve customers in a timely and appropriate manner and follow all the necessary tasks connected to the deli.

MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION

To operate within the fresh foods department efficiently, effectively and hygienically to ensure customer satisfaction at all times with the highest standards of service and products.

The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week.

Deli experience and advantage but not essential 
If you are friendly hard working and willing to work as a team this may be the job for you, please note this job will also include cleaning the deli on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Previous experience in fresh food/deli department would be beneficial
• Knowledge in food safety, hygiene and HACCP would be beneficial
• Customer driven with great communication and interpersonal skills
• Hard-working and flexible, with the ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative
• Professional & polite manner is essential
• Committed to continually improving department standards with an attention to detail
• Committed to delivering great customer experiences in a busy environment
• Enjoys working in a fast paced team environment and with a willingness to embrace new challenges
